Would you like to see a VO (original language) film in English locally? At the moment it is only possible to see VO films in Barcelona or Girona.

A group of us have been working for over a year to try and make this possible. We recently met with the management of OCine, the multi-cine complex in the Shopping Centre La Bobila, Platja d'Aro. They agreed to a trial screening of the above film in English. Their only requirement is that, to make it commercially viable, the minimum audience would need to be approx. 100 persons. If there is a good attendance for the pilot film, and a commitment to support the screening of further films, then Ocine would be willing to show a recently released film once a month. It is for this reason that we are contacting you and other associations most likely to be interested in this project.

We feel that there is a genuine demand out there to see films in VO but need to have confirmation of this. If you are interested in attending the pilot film and would like to see VO films on a regular basis, please contact me so that your name can be added to the list: :

It is important that we have this information so that the number of persons attending can be calculated, and also to inform you if, in the event of not reaching the 100 quota, the event has to be cancelled.
